Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup

jesse.a.rosenstein's Custom Lineup for Lollapalooza 2010

Lollapalooza 2010, I'm not gonna lie I'm getting pretty excited. Here is my custom lineup. To be honest, no, i don't think the lineup compares to last year's lineup. As i looked closer at the lineup for 2010, I realized that it was really just the headliners that i was not impressed with. This year's lineup has a lot of rare gems that even 2009 could have lacked. Rising artists such as Chiddy Bang, B.o.B., Phoenix, The xx, J. Cole, The Temper Trap, Rusko, and many more are what's really going to make this a good year of the festival. As always, Lolla is going to have amazing bands, whether its the number one headlining band or the last DJ spinning at Perry's so of course i grabbed my lolla ticket and plane ticket to Chi-town ASAP. I'll keep you updated and post pictures and videos after the festival (august 6-8).

Chiddy Bang, GZA, The Hood Internet @ Goucher

Last night I headed out to Goucher College in Towson with two of my friends. We got to the concert after slipping in under the ropes (it was goucher students only) we got in. When Xaphoon Jones came on to the stage the crowd was getting pumped. Chiddy steps out and starts spittin his game as always. He played songs from both mixtapes (swelly express and air swell) plus a new song from his anticipated debut album. After about 8 songs, Chiddy turned it over to Hood. STV and ABX whipped out the Apple Macbooks (with the argyle skin as always). At this point it was nearly 11 o'clock and most of the students had left. I saw The Hood Internet last summer at Lollapalooza and i knew what they were capable of doing live. When Hood started playing their first track, it brought everyone back to the stage and set off an eruption of craze. They played all of their good mixes, including my personal favorite Cult Logic Forever. We headed out after they played for a good half-hour. it was a sick show, if they come back again i'll definitely be there.
